- Beetewk -

The Beetewk is a little known heavy horse breed. They are an original heavy Russian horse breed that were bred and developed along the banks of the Beetewk River. Here, Peter the Great put Dutch stallions to local mares, in turn creating a progeny called the Orlov Trotting Stallions. The Beetewk breed is known for its great strength: they can pull over three tons!

Their actions is good, their spirits high, temperaments good and quiet, and they are docile horses. They are also very obedient, and their great nature makes them the ideal horses for agricultural uses. No other horse can compete with the Beetewk under Russian conditions.
