The Manades is also known as the
Camargue. They are known as the "white horses of the sea", and are indigenous to
the Rhone delta in southern France. Camargue horses, known as "the white horses

are the "semi-wild" herds. They live in the same way they have for thousands of
years on the wild, watery wasteland dominated by the mistral.
