- Sardinian Anglo-Arab -

The Sardinian Anglo-Arab originates from the island of Sardinia, and stems from the small, wiry local animals that were crossed with Arabians. Imported Iberian blood was introduced in the 16th century; and in the 20th century Arabian and Thoroughbred blood further improved the breed. There are several different types, ranging from small to large. They range in size from 15.1 hh and 16.1 hh. The Sardinian Anglo-Arab is known for being hardy and fast with good endurance and jumping ability. It has an even temperament; any solid color can occur in this breed.
