Equine Kingdom Instructor/Trail Guide - Taylor Miller

Taylor Miller is Equine Kingdom's excellent, fun-loving instructor and trail guide for our beginning riders.

She is also our trail guide and event coordinator! Taylor takes care of the day-to-day operations, she's the smiling voice you'll hear on the other end of the phone! She is always more than happy to meet you out at the riding academy to show you around and introduce you to all of our wonderful horses.

Taylor hails from Sebastian, Florida....ironically enough, our ex-racehorse Sebastian is her favorite horse at Equine Kingdom Riding Academy to ride! She has a lot of experience with horses - she has been riding for over 13 years. She graduated from Marion Military Institute in Alabama with an Associates in Science degree in 2010, and is currently enrolled in continuing education to earn a Bachelors' double-major degree in Equine Management and Child Psychology.

She taught at Special Equestrians of the Treasure Coast for four years for riders of all ages and life-challenges. She also taught lessons and gave guided trail rides to children and teenagers at Florida Sheriffs Youth Camp in Barbersville, Florida for three years over the summer.

Taylor taught regular weekly lessons at Carefree Ranch in Vero Beach for four years - English and western disciplines, including jumping, barrel racing, pole bending, English and western pleasure and equitation. These riders were beginner through advanced levels.

Included in Taylor's extensive experience is her time spent as a horse trainer and barn manager at Sawgrass Farms and Equestrian Center. Her time was spent managing the farm and caring for 8 to 10 horses, working with unruly and untrained horses, and taking care of all appointments necessary.

Here at Equine Kingdom, Taylor is absolutely invaluable - we are so lucky to have her! Equine Kingdom is moving towards opening a therapeutic riding program, so Sally Cochran (head instructor) needed time to put work in on that program. Taylor came at just the right time!

She has taken over redeeming all of the Groupon/Living Social voucher promotions that we have run in the last year and a half - icluding trail rides, pony rides, pony parties, and riding lessons. She does group sessions and private sessions alike. She also teaches beginner riding lessons to children and adults, she sets up and runs the birthday parties and girl/boy scout activities. I don't know what we would do without her!

Taylor's favorite thing to do is jump - even if she's riding a stubborn horse! She enjoys a challenge, and takes weekly lessons to further her skills in both riding and teaching. She loves that the horses continue to teach her something new each and every day, whether it's on the ground or on the horse's back.

Taylor is currently searching for a horse of her own to train and show! She would love to have an off-the-track Thoroughbred like her favorite, Sebastian! Taylor is an extremely talented rider and teacher, and her lessons and events are so much fun! She puts everything she has into everything she does. Anyone that rides with her should consider themselves lucky to have her!
