The KWPN Riding Horse originated from
the Netherlands. It is, technically, a half-bred, with Anglo-Norman
descendants. It does have an established Herdbook, which is located
in the Netherlands at this time. They can be any solid color, and
are used for sport and hobbies, as riding horses. They are very
easy to handle, have great pulling power, are very adaptable in
dressage and jumping, although they are not as fast as a lot of
other horses. Because there are an estimated 14,000 of these horses
remaining on earth, the breed has not yet reached endangered status,
and no efforts are being made to conserve the breed.
