 THe Nooitgedacht Horse was developed in the eastern Transvaal region of South Africa. They are used both for riding and draft purposes, and was developed during the 1950s from the Basuto Pony, with some Boer and Arabian blood infused as well. This was all done at the Nooitgedacht Research Station near Ermelo. This breed is very rare.
